HELENA- Yoimer Camacho and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as the Missoula Osprey beat the Helena Brewers, 3-0, on Wednesday.
Camacho (2-3) allowed four hits and struck out eight batters in his six innings of work to pick up his second straight win. Chase Stevens fanned a pair of batters in his two innings of scoreless relief, while Vince Spilker struck out the side in the ninth to earn his second save of the season. The shutout was the third of the season for the Osprey pitching staff.
The Osprey (8-3, 26-23) scored twice in the top of the second inning, on the benefit of an error, allowing Socrates Brito to score a run, and a wild pitch which chased home Breland Almadova. Danny Pulfer extended the lead to 3-0 in the top of the fourth with a run-scoring single that plated Michael Perez, who had singled.
The Osprey had eight hits in the win - Brito and Pulfer finished with two hits each, while Almadova, Perez, Ty Linton and Pedro Ruiz also collected safeties for Missoula.
The Osprey and Brewers will wrap up their three-game series on Thursday. The Osprey will send right hander Jared Ray to the mound, while the Brewers will send Leonard Lorenzo to the mound.
