MISSOULA- The Billings Mustangs are no longer alone atop the North Division standings in the Pioneer League.
The Ponies dropped their third straight in Missoula on Monday evening, allowing the Osprey to make up a three game deficit.
Billings was ahead 2-1 through six, but Missoula's Jake Lamb cranked a two run bomb in the seventh to give the Osprey a 4-2 lead.
Tack on an insurance run in the eighth and Missoula's Justin Thompson closing the door for his second save of the season with the Osprey winning by a final score of 5-2.
The four game series wraps up Tuesday in Missoula with sole possession of first place on the line as both teams will enter with identical 9-6 records.
