MISSOULA - An overdue skier in the Snowbowl area was spotted just after 11 a.m. on Monday.

Missoula County Sheriff Office Public Information Officer Jason Johnson says authorities were originally told about the missing skier Sunday at around 4 p.m.

Johnson says they got the call of a missing skier who had possibly gone off the backside of Snowbowl toward the Grant Creek side.

St. Patrick Hospital's Life Flight helicopter, Search and Rescue and the Snowbowl Ski Patrol then began looking for the overdue skier.

Search and Rescue members spotted the skier just after 11 a.m., and were trying to ski toward the overdue skier, who spotted in the Grant Creek area.
