MISSOULA- Missoula Police say they responded to 22 calls Tuesday night of people lighting off fireworks in the city limits, which is illegal.

The Missoula Police and the Missoula City Fire Department team up each year for firework patrols to enforce this ordinance.

The two agencies started the patrols Tuesday night and they will also be patrolling on Wednesday night.

If you light off fireworks in the city limits you could be fined up to $500.
