KALISPELL- Kalispell police are meeting with the Flathead County Attorney's Office to determine whether charges will be filed against a 24-year-old Kalispell man for the shooting death of a 40-year-old man who was also from Kalispell.

Kalispell police say they received several calls to 911 about gun shots being heard at 8:40 p.m. on Saturday near Three Mile Drive. Officers responded just as another call came in saying a man had been shot.

The victim was shot several times in the Empire Estates subdivision and he died shortly after being transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Police immediately detained the 24-year-old for questioning. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
