POLSON - A Polson man who is facing his ninth DUI charge reached a plea agreement in Lake County District Court Wednesday.

Todd Burland, 46, led several officers on a car chase, before eventually driving his car through Boettcher Park and into Flathead Lake last year.

Burland started swimming away, and firefighters had to go in after him.

He pleaded guilty to a felony DUI charge on Wednesday, in exchange for the county dismissing a prior 2008 DUI, "without prejudice."

His sentencing is set for April 3.
