GREAT FALLS - The featured speaker at the 221 Industries banquet in Great Falls last week was Butte native, Griz alum, and Philadelphia Eagles safety Colt Anderson.
Reporter Shannon Newth: "Colt, you have Chip Kelly as the new head coach for your team, what do you think that's going to be like?"
Colt Anderson: "Yeah, I'm excited. I got to talk to Coach Kelly here about a week and a half ago. And one of the first things he said was 'we aspire to be Super Bowl champs.' And I thought that was pretty cool for a coach to say that in his first conversation."
SN: "And there's been some recent comments from Pat Williams, I don't know if you've hear this or not, with the board of regents and the 'thuggery' comment. What's your perception or response to hearing that comment?"
CA: "I'm very disappointed with what Mr. Williams said. You know... He doesn't know what Griz Football is all about obviously and for him to say that I think is just out of line."
SN: "Michael Vick signed another one year contract again. What are your feelings about that being a leader on your team again?"
CA: "Michael Vick's a great teammate and he's a great locker room guy and he's just a good teammate, like I said so, I'm excited to have him back and I know he's excited to be back."
SN: "Anything else you'd like to add going in to this off season here, preparing for next year?"
CA: "Yeah, I'm just excited to be back in Montana and I'm enjoying my time in Butte."
