KALISPELL- Several small fires and one very large fire continue to burn in the Bob Marshall Wilderness.

The Prisoner Lake Fire is the largest fire burning in very steep rocky terrain and at a high elevation. It has burned over 3,300 acres so far, but is being managed for fire suppression.

The Flathead National Forest reports the fire is currently showing no significant growth and natural barriers of rock have helped to contain the spread of the fire.
