MISSOULA - Before shoppers at Missoula's Southgate Mall got their hands on black Friday bargains, they were reminded that not everyone was able to spend the holidays with friends and family.
Former Marine Chuck Lewis of Ronan stood at attention all day, braving chilly temperatures Thursday in Polson and in Missoula Friday, trying to raise money for wounded vets.
Lewis served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the 1970's and says he wants to help fellow veterans.
"I don't have the skill mix to help them other than just being there for them or talking to them, but I do have the ability to stand here and raise money or walk across the country and raise money to support the programs that will help them," Lewis explained.
He says that on March 31st he will begin a walk across America to raise money for wounded veteran programs.
