RED LODGE- The Carbon County Sheriff's Office says Getaway Trail is being evacuated due to the Rosebud Fire. Officials add they may also evacuate East Rosebud.

Critical fire weather will challenge firefighters Wednesday on the Rosebud Fire. According to a press release from the Montana DNRC, a Type 1 Incident Management Team will brief in Red Lodge Wednesday evening and assume control as early as Wednesday evening.

The fire is about six miles southwest of Roscoe, and it remains at an estimated 800 to 1,000 acres in size.
