MISSOULA, MT -- One of the biggest names in politics is coming to Missoula, but she's not coming here for political reasons.
Sarah Palin will be here in September to raise funds for Teen Challenge, a faith-based organization that helps teenagers deal with life's problems by teaching them Christian values.
Palin is the former Alaska governor who unsuccessfully ran for the vice-presidency on the John McCain ticket and recently released the book "Going Rogue."
"This is huge, said Garden of Read'n owner Michael Burks, who is fronting the money to bring her here. "We're really excited."
The event is called "Take a stand for God, Country and Family." It's scheduled for Sunday, September 12th at the Hilton Garden Inn. Tickets go on sale later this week at the Garden of Readin' bookstore and Teen Challenge. Only 1,600 tickets are available and 200 of them are already sold.
"This is a Christian politician not afraid to stand up for what she believes in and just a huge amount of lack of God in this country, said Burks. "And it will be awesome for someone to come in here who has such a huge following and present that to Missoula."
