HELENA- U.S. Senator John Thune (R-SD) will be stumping for U.S. Representative Denny Rehberg (R-MT), who is challenging U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) for his seat in the U.S. Senate.
Rehberg's spokesman Chris Bond confirmed the two will appear on the campaign trail together in Helena and Great Falls.
"Denny is excited to have Senator Thune join him on the campaign trail in these crucial final weeks of the race," Bond says. "Both Denny and Senator Thune understand how important this election is for creating good-paying jobs here in Montana by reining in Washington's harmful over-taxing, over-spending, and excessive red tape so we can build a more secure future for our families and communities."
The Helena event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th, at 1:30 pm at Bullman's Pizza.
Thune serves on the Agriculture, Nutrition & Forestry Committee, the Budget Committee, the Commerce, Science & Transportation Committee, and the Finance Committee. He has previously served as Chief Deputy Whip, Vice-Chairman of the Republican Conference and Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee.
He is also the Republican Conference Chairman, the third-ranking leadership position among Senate Republicans.
