LOLO HOT SPRINGS - A semi-truck rolled over on U.S. Highway 12 near the Lolo Hot Springs Wednesday evening, triggering a MEANS alert and delaying traffic.
Emergency crews were called at about 5:30 p.m. and arrived to find the truck on its side blocking traffic. A first responder at the scene told us that the driver of the truck told the Montana Highway Patrol that he served to avoid a crash when he lost control of his rig.
The semi, loaded with lumber, ended up on its side. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Missoula Rural Fire District Battalion Chief Greg Orr said that driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Some fluid was spilled but it was cleaned up.
