MISSOULA - In the middle of their game last week, the Sentinel Spartans looked well on their way to a season opening victory against Billings Skyview as Sentinel owned a 17-6 lead in the third quarter.

But the Falcons came storming back, and scored on a quarterback sneak with less than 40 seconds left to take the lead and steal the win.

It was a disheartening start for Pete Joseph's club, but the head coach is spending this week reminding his players about all of the positives.

"I was really proud of how we responded. We converted I don't know how many third downs, and I know we converted five fourth down conversions. You know, we held time of possesion. We did a lot of good things," Joseph explained. "We just, we gave them three short fields, three quick scores. And you know, that's going to be tough to come back from. That's great about great competitors, they just brush it off and move on to the next game. And it's Big Sky, so they don't need a lot of motivation."

The Spartans meet their cross-town rivals from Big Sky in two days, after the Eagles also lew a late lead to a Billings team in week one.

The game kicks off at 7:00 Friday night and will airs as our Prep Game of the Week at 10:35 Saturday night on Montana's News Station.
