GREAT FALLS - Four people were taken to Benefis hospital after a Friday morning high-speed collision on Ninth Street at Second Avenue North in Great Falls.
Initial reports indicate that a car was speeding southbound at more than 60 mph on Ninth Street when it crashed into a pickup truck that was stopped at the intersection.
The pickup truck was rolled to the east side of Ninth Street, landing on its side. Two pedestrians were hit, but authorities do not yet know which vehicle hit them; the pedestrians are a father and a small child.
We're told that the child did not sustain life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to Benefis hospital.
The driver of the car and the driver of the pickup truck were transported to Benefis hospital; the nature and extent of their injuries is not yet known.
