DIXON- Another small earthquake has rattled across parts of Western Montana. The U.S. Geological survey reports a 3.2 magnitude trembler hit five miles north, north-west of the small Sanders County town of Dixon.

A caller to Montana's News Station tells us she was on the phone with a friend when she was surprised by ground starting to move. She says nothing fell in her home and were not hearing of any reports of damage in the area.

We're hearing on our Facebook page that some folks at S&K Technologies in St. Ignatius felt and heard the quake and thought it might have been a sonic boom.

The U.S.G.S. has responses from folks in Arlee, Charlo, Dixon, Ronan and St. Ignatius of people who felt the earth move.

This is just the most recent small quake to hit in western Montana over the past few weeks. A 3.5 magnitude quake hit 14 miles southeast of Clinton on December 14th.

That event came on the heels of a 3.3 quake that hit on November 11th, again near Clinton.

We'll have more on this story as information becomes available.
