KALISPELL- Flathead National Forest officials report that a small human-caused fire was found Saturday about five miles north of Columbia Falls in the Canyon Creek area. The fire was quickly contained and controlled.
The fire danger on the Flathead National Forest remains at high and people using the forest should exercise extreme caution with any ignition source and ensure all campfires are dead out.
Fuels are drying out and a careless act could have serious consequences, forest officials advise in a news release.
