KALISPELL- Spring hunter education classes are scheduled in Kalispell. Registration is Saturday, March 24th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Headquarters located on 490 North Meridian Road in Kalispell.
Classes will be held at Flathead High School from 6-9 p.m. from April 2nd through the 5th with the field course scheduled for Saturday, April 7th. Test night is Monday, April 9th from 6-8 p.m.
All hunter education classes are free of charge and open to hunters and non-hunters alike.
State law requires anyone born after January 1st, 1985, to have completed the Hunter Education Course in order to buy a hunting license in Montana.
The minimum age for hunting in Montana is 12 (11-year olds who turn 12 by January 16th of the license year can qualify, see regulations).
A parent or guardian must accompany students under 18 to sign the registration form.
