Doctors have been able to save the leg of a 14-year-old Stevensville boy who's battling a rare form of bone cancer.
Tyler Hennes was diagnosed with Osteosacoma back in May after he tripped on the playground, fell and broke the fibula bone in his leg. He went in for an MRI and doctors found the cancer.
Tyler went in for surgery Tuesday morning and doctors were able to remove his fibula and the tumor.
Tyler's supporters say his leg will never be normal and add that he's not out of the woods because he still has months of chemotherapy ahead of him.
