MISSOULA - The 12-foot, 100-pound Sinclair dinosaur stolen last week is back with its owners, but a little worse for wear.

Noon's staff said most of the fiberglass green dino was found late last week west of Missoula in a wooded area, lonely, lost and confused.

The head was returned separately to Crossroads Travel Center, at Interstate 90 and Highway 93, over the weekend.

Bill Nooney, Sr., owner of Noon's Food Stores, said many people offered their time and resources toward the dino's recovery and safe return.

He said they are optimistic they can put the dinosaur back together and once restored, the dino will be back at its post overlooking I-90.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Department is now investigating the circumstances of Dino's disappearance.
