SUPERIOR - Superior voters have turned down a request to build a $7 million community center
The final tally shows that 643 people said "no" while 268 said "yes" to the community center, that was to be located near to the Superior high School.
The proposed community center would have included an indoor pool, a regulation-size gymnasium along with a racquetball court, a walking track and a weight room.
Superior School District Superintendent Wayne Stanley tells us they will have a meeting on Feb. 11 to discuss the future of the center.
He says they will seek grants to reduce the $7 million tax burden.
