GREAT FALLS- An hours-long standoff between the Great Falls police and occupants of a house on 4th Avenue North has ended.

It started sometime after 3. a.m. at 3413 4th Avenue North, and initial reports indicate that there were four people inside the house, two men and two women, and that at least one person had a weapon.

The GFPD High-Risk Unit and other police officers, including a K-9 unit, surrounded the house.

At about 8:20 a.m., two women left the house; they were placed in handcuffs and placed in a police vehicle.

Police officers issued a warning to the two men still inside at 9 a.m., and about 15 minutes later officers entered the home using a flash-bang device.

Two men were then taken out of the house; initial reports indicate that no one was injured.
