BIG TIMBER- A teenager was rescued by helicopter on Friday from Mirror Lake, about 46 miles south of Big Timber.
The 14-year-old boy is reported to have suffered a severe appendicitis attack, but St. Vincents Healthcare's HelpFlight was unable to get the boy because of bad weather and the altitude.
A helicopter from Malmstrom Air Force Base near Great Falls flew in, rescued the boy, and transported him to the Sweet Grass County airport, where a waiting ambulance took him to a nearby medical center.
The boy was later transported to Billings for emergency surgery.
