HELENA- The Powell County Coroner has released the names of the two teenagers who died in a motorcycle collision on Thursday.
The victims are 14-year-old Cheyenne Harbour and 15-year-old Jory Thomas, both from Elliston.
A third teen involved in the crash, another 14-year-old girl from Elliston, is being treated at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula and has not been identified.
MHP was dispatched at about 11:40 p.m. to U.S> Highway 12, mile marker 22, for a report of a motorcycle accident. The two motorcycles collided in the east bound lane of the highway.
Harbour was driving the first motorcycle, and the unidentified teen girl was driving the second with Thomas as a passenger.
Harbour and Thomas sustained fatal head injuries and were found dead at the scene. None of the teenagers were wearing helmets and authorities say the first motorcycle did not have active head lamps.
The cause of the collision is still being investigated, but the Highway Patrol said speed was not a factor.
