A Maryland man happened to put on his "Big Lebowski" shirt on just the right day - when he got his photo taken with actor Jeff Bridges.

After an adventure in Yellowstone National Park, Nick Robison's flight was set to leave from Gallatin Field airport at 6 a.m., but delays kept him a bit longer here in the Treasure State. While waiting in the airport, Robison heard rumors that Jeff Bridges - star of such Hollywood hits as "The Big Lebowski," "Iron Man," the 2010 remake of "True Grit," and the Montana-based "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" - was cruising around the airport, too.

Robison told us via email: "I had seen him sitting down by the gate next to mine, but I wasn't going to bother him for a picture. Later on when I saw a few small groups getting pictures with him and realized that I'd feel I missed a great shot if I didn't get a picture with him."

Robison continued, "I went up, told him I loved his work, and asked if he wouldn't mind letting my girlfriend get a picture of us. He definitely had a grin when he saw the shirt I was wearing. He was quite nice."

Nick was wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with a stencil-style portrait of Bridges' character "The Dude" from the movie "The Big Lebowski."

The picture quickly reached the top spot on the link-sharing website Reddit - no easy feat considering the thousands of readers that democratically choose which content reaches the front page.

If you couldn't tell by the shirt he was wearing, Nick is a die-hard Bridges fan.

"Back in college we would throw a Big Lebowski party every couple of months where we would get together and drink white Russians," Nick continued in his email.

White Russians are the drink of choice for Bridges' character in The Big Lebowski.

Bridges is a long-time resident of the Livingston area.
