MISSOULA- Missoula Police are trying to figure out what happened to a toddler who was rushed to the hospital early Tuesday morning because he wasn't breathing.
The incident happened in the Alpine Meadows Apartments on Tina Avenue with authorities saying that the mother and her boyfriend called 911 because the 1½-year-old boy was unresponsive.
Officers arrived on the scene, performed CPR and the boy was then taken to the hospital.
Investigators say the long-term prognosis doesn't look good, but it's still too early to tell adding that there were no obvious external injuries on the toddler's body.
The boy remains in the hospital in serious condition and police say they have initial statements from the mother and her boyfriend.
