MISSOULA- The Missoula County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the child and the suspected drunk driver who were killed in a crash on Interstate 90 around 4:30 a.m. near Clinton this weekend.

The child is Jacob Gamble, 8, of Seattle while the suspected drunk driver is Daniel Martin, 33, of Missoula.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Novak says Martin was driving the wrong way on the freeway when he crashed into a Honda carrying a family of four from the Seattle area.

The impact killed the 8-year-old boy who was riding in the Honda and sent the other three people in that same car to the hospital.

The 37-year-old driver of that car was flown to Seattle. A 29-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy were last known to be in the hospital in stable condition.

We're told the family was on their way to Yellowstone National Park for vacation.

Novak says there were many indicators that Martin had been drinking while the Sheriff's Office reports Martin stole the pickup truck from the Testicle Festival. That pickup was used to haul garbage and the keys were left inside.

The crash is still under investigation.
