KALISPELL- Two people are in custody after various items, stolen out of cars in South Kalispell, were found in the suspects' vehicle during a traffic stop early Friday morning.
18-year-old Frank James and 19-year-old Jordan Engebretson of Kalispell were pulled over just before 2 a.m. Friday morning after someone reported a suspicious vehicle driving around with no headlights on.
Officers observed suspicious items in the vehicle, a lot of which later reported stolen. The two suspects were then taken into custody.
Lieutenant Wade Rademacher with the Kalispell Police Department estimates around ten cars were broken into, and all of them had been left unlocked at the time of the break-in.
"People still need to lock their doors at all times. They need to report anything suspicious to us, and that was the reason we came across these suspects because somebody saw them earlier this morning driving around and called us immediately. And, that led to this arrest."
Authorities are still investigating whether or not these two suspects are tied to any of the other recent Kalispell car break-ins.
