STEVENSVILLE- A cat, born with backward legs, found a forever-home in time for the holidays and is getting back on his feet now that he has a family.
His back legs might be different from most cats, but his cat-like reflexes are still in check.
"He does everything a normal cat does. He can't jump though. He can jump down, but he can't jump up. So he has to climb," owner Tom Zeigler said.
Speedy Little John, or LJ, for short, now has something else some cats don't: a home and one of LJ's new siblings has a similar disposition," "Of course, he only has three legs, too."
Other people who tried to adopt LJ weren't the right fit for a kitty with this sort of condition according to Animeals Marketing Coordinator Jessie Rogers commented.
"They are harder to adopt, because it takes a special person like Tom here, he's a very special person and has a special place and has an opening for a special needs kitty in his life."
And now that he's found a home, he's gripping every tighter to his new family.
The folks with animal shelters, like Animeals, say they have a lot of special pets, and special needs pets, still looking for a forever home.
