CORRECTION

POLSON- A story that was aired and posted online over the weekend about an incident where a driver hit several fences and a house early Friday morning contained incorrect information.

Polson Assistant Police Chief Clinton Cottle told Montana's News Station on Monday morning that a suspect in the incident has been identified and issued a citation in connection with the Friday morning incident.

Our report over the weekend said that a man was in custody and that the incident happened in the 500 block of 11th Avenue West in Polson.

Cottle says the man was not taken into custody and as we initially reported last week the incident happened in the 100 block of Seventh Avenue West at around 2:35 a.m. on Friday.

Cottle says that thanks to the public's help they were able to locate the suspect on Saturday afternoon.

We apologize for the inaccurate information. Twitter
