POLSON - A vandalism spree will likely cost Polson residents thousands of dollars after someone shot out multiple car and house windows around town.

The most recent vandalism happened late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, but Polson police say this has been going on for the last three weeks.

The crimes have been happening overnight, and most of the damage has been on the west side of town. Investigators also say some of the vehicles were hit more than once.

Police believe the suspects might be doing this on foot or while driving around town.

"Our officers have responded to more than 20 calls where windows have been broke out of vehicles, a few residences and one business. We believe that most of the windows are being broken out by either a pellet gun or a BB-type gun," says Polson Police Assistant Chief, Clint Cottle.

Police are encouraging the community to report any suspicious people or cars in their neighborhoods.

If you have any information on the vandalism, call the Polson Police Department at (406) 883.8212 or Lake County Crimestoppers (406) 883.7309.
