MISSOULA- Verizon Wireless is rolling out their 4G LTE service to the Bitterroot Valley on Thursday.
Coverage is being expanded along U.S. Highway 93 South, including the towns of Lolo, Stevensville, Florence and Hamilton, according to a news release.
Verizon Wireless launched its 4G LTE network in Montana earlier this summer with coverage to Bozeman, Kalispell and Missoula.
"The expansion of our 4G LTE network will enable customers to use their 4G LTE devices in more parts of Montana...all with speeds up to 10 times faster than before," said Chris Lewter, regional president.
He added Verizon Wireless plans to "continue expanding and enhancing our 4G LTE network in the state."
As with the previous Montana roll out, iPhones will not be able to access the service, but iPad tablets will.
