CLINTON - A pastor led a search group in prayer as they set out to help find the dog of a little boy who lost his brother in a fatal crash last weekend.
About two dozen people from as far away as Lolo came out to help search for Bella, a black lab with pointed ears who she was in the car with the Seattle family when they were hit by a wrong way driver on Interstate 90 early Sunday morning.
The Seattle family lost Jacob Gamble, 8, in that crash. The suspected drunk driver, Daniel Martin, 33, of Missoula was also killed in the wreck.
The dog belongs to Jacob's little brother who survived the crash and the volunteers, in search groups and on their own, have searched for Bella since Sunday.
"The crash site isn't too far from here, so we're trying to keep it close to that area, but we are looking all over. We have a pretty big area to search, so the more people that we have the better," says Dani Curliss, who is organizing the dog search.
There have been some sightings of a black dog around Clinton on Frontage and Wallace Creek roads, but it's unknown if it was actually Bella.
If you'd like to help in the search, you can call Curliss at 406-241-0174 or you can find the group on Facebook under "Finding Bella Dog."
