MISSOULA- Volunteers are still needed to take part in the ninth annual Blackfoot River Cleanup, which will take place on Saturday, July 28th at the Johnsrud Fishing Access.

Folks can bring their own boats, and shuttles and rafts will also be available for those taking part in the cleanup. Volunteers can also help by walking and wading to pick up litter from the river bank and access sites, according to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

FWP advises in a news release that volunteers bringing rafts, snorkelers or scuba diver should meet at Johnsrud Fishing Access Site (FAS) at 8 a.m. on July 28th, while all others should show up an hour later.

The cleanup is sponsored by the Blackfoot Home & Community Club, the Bureau of Land Management and Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. A free barbecue for volunteers will be held at the Johnsrud FAS after the cleanup.

Call FWP at (406) 542.5500 for more information.
