LIBBY - Attorneys for the asbestos victims in the Libby and Lincoln County areas are asking for over $4 million as part of a legal settlement with WR Grace.
That money was intended to cover the victims' ongoing medical costs, but a group of several lawyers involved in the case, including some from the Kalispell area say they put in more than 16,000 hours into the case.
A judge has ordered a fairness hearing on the request, and the money requested would add up to around 20% of the $19.6 million settlement that WR Grace agreed to last year.
