GREAT FALLS - A U.S. Air Force airman visiting Great Falls from Washington is facing a charge of sexual intercourse without consent.
Court documents state that Jerel Gabriel and the victim had kissed and flirted at a house party before going to sleep in the basement.
The next morning Gabriel allegedly forcefully removed the victim's pants and digitally penetrated her.
The affidavit says the victim told Gabriel "no" multiple times, but he held her down and tripped her when she tried to get away.
When questioned by police, Gabriel told the same story as the victim but stated that he thought she was joking.
Gabriel is stationed at McChord Air Force Base in Washington; he is in Great Falls visiting friends.
Judge Neill set bond at $5,000 after the state had requested that bond be set at $25,000. The public defender's office argued that Gabriel is a low flight risk due to his military ties.
