MISSOULA- It's the one day out of the year that everyone hopes for awesome weather and this year Mother Nature will not disappoint! Our Fourth of July forecast is looking just fabulous with sunny skies and highs just right in the mid 70s to the low 80s.

For the fireworks this evening, you may want a light sweater as our temperatures dip into the 60s. But otherwise, things are looking good for the light shows with clear skies and calm winds. Our temperatures will continue to drop into the 40s overnight with clear skies and good radiational cooling so if you're planning a camping trip, you may want an extra blanket for warmth.

A nice ridge of high pressure will stay in place bringing plenty of sunshine into the early part of next week. We may see a few more high clouds tomorrow in the southwest corner of the state thanks to a stationary front to our south. For Saturday and Sunday we could see a few plumes of moisture pushed our way out of the desert southwest giving us the slight chance for isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Otherwise, the big weather story heading into the weekend is going to be the heat. We're heading for the 90s and maybe even triple digits by the early part of next week. The southwest corner of the state will be in the 90s Friday, Saturday and Sunday with mid to upper 80s in the northwest. But by Monday we're all going to be topping out in the 90s!
