MISSOULA - Wednesday brought sunshine and hot highs to Western Montana and you can expect more of the same Thursday.
We'll see a clear sky overnight with lows dropping into the middle to high 50s. Thursday will bring morning sun with just a few afternoon clouds and hot highs in the lower to middle 90s.
An approaching shortwave will bring a chance of scattered thunderstorms on Friday. The Flathead and Mission valleys have the best chance of getting a thunderstorm. These storms have a chance to be severe, meaning the potential is there for frequent lightning, very strong wind gusts, hail, and heavy rain. Our highs will be several degrees cooler.
The weekend looks sunny and warm with highs ranging from the middle 80s to 90.
