MISSOULA- We'll have the heat return for another day and then a cool down moves in to start off the work week. And aside from a few storms over the next couple day the rest of the forecast remains dry.

After a couple days with highs in the 80s, we'll return briefly to the 90s on Sunday. Highs pressure remains in control over the Northern Rockies so expect another sunny day with a few more clouds moving in during the afternoon.

We'll see the chance for a few isolated storms in the southwest Sunday afternoon but some of them could be strong to severe due to an unstable atmosphere. Small hail and gusty winds as well as frequent lightning will be the biggest threats.

Storms will continue Sunday night into Monday morning as a cold front approaches the region. The storms will linger into the morning hours especially in the northwest but expect things to dry out by Monday afternoon.

A biggest impact of Monday's cold front will be a dramatic cool down and strong winds. Monday's highs will only be in the mid 70s to low 80s! We're also looking at blustery day with strong winds gusting over 30mph. This could increase fire concerns during the day.

Tuesday and Wednesday we'll continue to see cooler, more seasonal, temperatures with highs in the low to mid 80s. We'll also see sunny skies with the slight chance for some isolated afternoon storms across the Northern Rockies.
