KALISPELL - A Flathead County man is behind bars, facing a felony assault charge, after a reported stabbing in Kalispell. Police say that 911 dispatchers were called overnight and told that a 25-year-old Kalispell man had been stabbed several times. The victim is in stable condition at Kalispell regional Medical Center.
MISSOULA - Police have released photographs of a man who's believed to be responsible for a trio of early Tuesday morning armed robberies in Missoula. The suspect robbed a convenience store in the 1600 block of Russell Street just before 1 a.m., and about 20 minutes later he robbed a casino in the 3300 block of North Reserve. The final armed robbery was reported at the Lucky Lil's Casino on Brooks Street just after 7 a.m.
FLORENCE - A woman was hurt on Tuesday after being attacked by a captive adult buck deer at her home. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks officials say in a press release that the woman entered the pen and the white-tailed deer came after her. The victim was treated at a Missoula hospital.
MISSOULA - It's the season of giving, but unfortunately, it can also the season of drinking and driving, and that's why there is a team effort spreading the message to not get behind the wheel drunk. Area law enforcement officers had their pictures taken on Tuesday as part of the campaign: "Going out tonight? We are. Never, ever drink and drink."
EVERGREEN - It's getting down to the wire for you to wrap those presents you bought on Black Friday and ship them off to family and friends in time for Christmas, as package volumes are growing with the U.S. Postal Service and FedEx. Christmas is quickly approaching, and the folks at FedEx Express in Evergreen say they are getting busier by the day, seeing more and more shipments that need to be sorted through the routes.
SIDNEY - North Dakota National Guardsman Darren Linde, a Sidney native, was laid to rest Tuesday in his hometown. The 41-year old Sergeant First Class, died last week when his vehicle was hit with a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.
Dennis Bragg's StormTracker Weather Center forecast:MISSOULA- Montana woke up to a little more light snow this morning, thanks to a weak disturbance pushing across the Northern Rockies. However, all the showers should come to an end across Western Montana by this afternoon. It will be fairly mild again today with highs into the upper 30s.
