MISSOULA- All the talk of La Niña made for an early jump in ski equipment sales, but a lack of snow so far has kept shops like Gull Ski Equipment quiet. But now the forecasted upcoming winter storm has the store shopping again.

Gull Ski Manager Glenn Gaertnei said it has been all hands on deck as skis, boots, and winter apparel have been flying off the shelf and the pick up and business has put a smile on Gaertnei's face

"They're buying a lot of ski boots, and the clothing, getting their skis tuned and ready. It's just a little of everything, but wide skis are really good right now so they can ski the deep powdery stuff," Gaertnei observed.

He adds that a big storm like this one can often carry his business deep into ski season.
