WHITEFISH- Kalispell residents will soon have another option for satisfying their sweet tooth as a Whitefish and Bigfork ice cream business is expanding to the largest city in the valley.

Sweet Peaks Ice Cream is a popular stop in both Whitefish and Bigfork.

The locally owned business made an announcement on their Facebook page Tuesday, they would be expanding their ice cream business to the empty Chicken Noodle Café building in Kalispell.

The new spot is located just behind the Kalispell Police Station and sits right on Main Street and store owner Marissa Keenan, says they are excited about the new store.

"Last summer we opened up a seasonal only shop in Bigfork, and Kalispell was kinda the logical next step for us. It's a great location and we're excited just to be a part of that community and it'll give us an opportunity to do more flavors, more things and just...see what happens."

The building Sweet Peaks is moving into has rooftop seating for your ice cream eating pleasure as well. Keenan says they would be hiring eight new employees to operate the Kalispell location.
