The new $6 million, consolidated, Flathead County 911 Center plans to start receiving some calls next month.

The Whitefish Police Department will implement the first phase of police dispatch consolidation to the new 911 center starting March 1st when dispatchers receive and dispatch out all emergency and non-emergency calls for police services.

The center will start to dispatch Whitefish Police officers to service calls and transfer business calls to officers, detectives and administration.

Calls coming into the Police Department will be directed to a new number, which will utilize a directory.  The emergency services center was approved by voters through a bond.
