PABLO- Spectators and model aviation enthusiasts gathered near Pablo over the weekend for a good cause.
Wings for Wishes is an annual event to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Montana, where model aviation enthusiasts gather to compare their planes and show off aerial maneuvers.
The event raises money through landing fees, a barbecue, a raffle, and a silent auction.
Founder Eric Kendall organized the event for the first time last year after he saw his friend's five-year-old son's wish be granted. While he's too busy coordinating the event to get any air time in, he says helping such a great cause makes it all worth it.
"And knowing the simple fact that either we assisted in granting a wish for a child here in Montana or knowing that we did grant a wish for a kid here in Montana, that does it all right there. I mean it's all about the kids. That's our focus here and that's everything," Kendall explained.
