KALISPELL- A Kalispell woman who is facing a negligent homicide charge for allegedly killing her passenger in an alcohol-related car crash entered a not guilty plea in Flathead Count District Court on Thursday.
The Montana Highway Patrol says that Mindy Brist, 33, was reportedly under the influence of alcohol last February when she rolled her SUV on U.S. Highway 93 north of Somers.
That crash killed 28-year-old Timothy Attard and on July 13th, the Flathead County Attorney's Office filed the felony charge against Brist, who is now scheduled for a January 7th trial.
Brist faces 20 years in prison if she's found guilty on the charge.
