MISSOULA - The woman accused of running over a Missoula Police Officer will not be going to trial that was scheduled for Wednesday.
Dawnette Eaton appeared in Missoula district court on Tuesday morning.
She pled guilty to failure to remain at an accident scene where a person is seriously injured and she pled no contest to assault with a weapon.
On Jan. 7, 2013, Eaton ran over Officer Deni Poling in a McDonald's parking lot. At the time of the incident, Officer Poling and her supervisor, Rich Stepper, were trying to arrest Eaton for a probation violation.
Eaton allegedly threw her car in reverse, ran over Poling, and then then dragged her underneath the car before being shot by Stepper.
Her sentencing has been scheduled for Oct. 22.
