MISSOULA - The Missoula Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly assaulted and robbed a woman early Sunday morning.

The victim told police the man came out of nowhere, knocked her to the ground, hit her and then took off with her purse and cell phone.

She told investigators the incident happened on Spruce Street near St. Patrick Hospital, but she couldn't give them a description of the suspect.

Police say the victim had facial injuries and they're asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at (406) 721.4444.
