MISSOULA - The son of a woman who allegedly ran over a Missoula police officer with her car has been charged with obstructing justice.

Stephen Roy Goodman, 18, allegedly let his mother, Dawnette Eaton, hide out at his apartment on Jan. 7 after Officer Deni Poling was run over.

A friend, Kimberly Sue Inman, 34, who gave Eaton ride to her son's apartment, is also in jail on $75,000 bail on a charge of tampering with physical evidence.

Court documents state that Goodman allegedly paid a next-door neighbor with meth so he could stay in the neighbor's apartment while police searched the building.

Goodman is in jail on $50,000 bail. Obstructing justice is a felony with a maximum sentence of 10 years.
