LOLO- A little white school house sits along U.S. Highway 12 outside of Lolo- Woodman School. This year, they celebrate their 120th anniversary, and it's a place where the school bell is still rung by hand.

Only 47 students are enrolled, but all five full-time teachers and the close-knit community say Woodman has a huge heart.

Madison Ulberg, 13, says she loves hearing stories about when her grandmother attended Woodman and she's excited to make her own history in the community.

"It makes you feel really excited, because you get to be a part of something that has so much history, that you get to be a part of that. You'll be one of those stories that they're sharing 20 years from now," says Ulberg.

Many current students have relatives dating back several generations, who might have attended Woodman when it was just a one-room school house. Some even say those students traded their school lunches with Native Americans traveling the Nez Perce trail over 100 years ago.
