Revett Minerals has laid off 100 of its employees at the Troy mine. The copper and silver mine has been shut down since December due to rock falls and cave-ins.

Northwest MT rivers rising, but no major flooding expected

Forecasters are predicting that the Flathead River is expected to slightly surpass flood stage in certain areas of Northwest Montana. The flood stage for the Flathead River was recently lowered, which pushed the notice for possible flooding up.
